Hydrocephalus Awareness Month (HAM), held every year in September, presents a powerful opportunity to make our collective voices heard and spread awareness about hydrocephalus! Let’s stand up together and say no more brain surgery – #NOMOREBS – brain surgery should not be the only treatment option for the 1 million Americans living with hydrocephalus.
2018 HAM SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE
The quickest and easiest way to spread awareness to large numbers of people is through social media so this year, our HAM social media challenge brings you right into our #NOMOREBS campaign.
You’ve seen our faces of hydrocephalus posts.
Now it’s your turn to help us bring our faces and our stories to life by turning these into live posts through video!
Everyone who participates will be entered into a raffle for a #NOMOREBS gear prize package.
HERE’S HOW TO ENTER:
Use your smartphone to film yourself, or a loved one impacted by hydrocephalus, making the following #NOMOREBS statement:
My name is (first name only) and I’m (age). I’ve had (enter number) brain surgeries to treat my hydrocephalus. But brain surgery should NOT be the only treatment for me and the 1 million Americans living with hydrocephalus. It’s 2018, we can do better. No More Brain Surgeries. NOMOREBS!

Post it on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram and ask your friends and family to share and retweet! Please make sure that you tag @HydroAssoc in your post and use the #NOMOREBS hashtag. You must tag @HydroAssoc in order to be entered in the raffle.
And that’s it! You have until September 28th to post your #NOMOREBS video.
We will keep track of everyone who posts a video and tags us, and we will do a Facebook/Instagram live video of the raffle to announce the winner.
