Become A Volunteer

Play an active role in raising awareness and eliminating the challenges of hydrocephalus in your community by becoming an HA volunteer!

We would not be where we are today without the involvement and support of our passionate volunteers across the country. Play an active role in raising awareness and eliminating the challenges of hydrocephalus in your community by becoming an HA volunteer! There are several ways to volunteer.

Community Network Leader

The Hydrocephalus Association has over 40 active Community Networks that bring the local community together to network, support and empower each other. Each Community Network is managed by a dedicated volunteer of the hydrocephalus community – whether it’s someone living with the condition, a caregiver or loved one. If there isn’t one located in your area, consider becoming a Community Network leader!

HydrocephalusCONNECT
Peer Support Volunteer

Are you passionate about helping others living with hydrocephalus? Join our amazing group of HydrocephalusCONNECT Peer Support Volunteers. Peer Support Volunteers are adult members of the community who are living with hydrocephalus. After receiving training from the Hydrocephalus Association, these volunteers provide one-on-one support via phone or online to those looking to speak to someone who understands what they’re going through. Share your experience and knowledge by becoming a Peer Support Volunteer!

Join the Gratitude Crew

Join the Gratitude Crew

Join the Hydrocephalus Association in making monthly thank-you calls to our amazing donors and volunteers. These calls aren’t about asking for anything—they’re simply about sharing gratitude, building connections, and letting our supporters know their generosity truly matters.

It’s an easy, fun, and impactful way to get involved. Our community loves hearing from fellow members, and your call can brighten someone’s day—while lifting your own spirit, too. We’ll provide all the tools and guidance you need to get started.

WALK Volunteer

Our WALKs to End Hydrocephalus are only successful because of the dedicated team of volunteers that organize and oversee every detail of each event. In addition to a WALK chair and co-chair, there is a committee of volunteers helping to ensure each WALK is successful. Help us end hydrocephalus by becoming a WALK volunteer. Together, we will find a cure!
