the olsensMcQ and Heather Olsen of Boise, ID are the proud parents of Tessa who was diagnosed at 20 weeks of age with aqueductal stenosis and hydrocephalus.  Last month, McQ and Heather took it upon themselves to raise awareness about hydrocephalus.  During the month of September, National Hydrocephalus Awareness Month, they appeared in various local news outlets, both radio and television, as a campaign to introduce hydrocephalus to as many people as possible.

The Hydrocephalus Association would like to express our thanks and congratulate the Olsen’s efforts in helping us meet one of the critical needs of our community, increasing awareness of hydrocephalus.

They have posted several of their appearances on YouTube.  To watch any of them please click on one of the links below:

I am 21 weeks pregnant and my baby has hydrocephalus. I believe this is something that people should be aware of. It is comforting to know there are others out there going through the same thing.
