Mona Amthor 

Regional WALK Development Manager

Mona joined HA in January 2017 as the Regional WALK Development Manager.  She is responsible for fast tracking all aspects of the WALK to End Hydrocephalus in Greater Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Greater Houston, TX and Phoenix, AZ.  She is responsible for increasing revenue through WALK sponsorship and team retention and fundraising as well as working with the local volunteer teams to build strong committees and building partnerships.  Mona is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

While born and raised in Kansas, Mona made her way to Texas over 30 years ago and considers herself a Texan.  While volunteering for the American Airlines Celebrity Events, she found her passion for the non-profit world.  From there she managed 5 events for Autism Speaks raising over $1.5m, she moved on to the role of National Events Coordinator with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition where she was responsible for 25 events across the US, raising over $1.1m each year.  Mona has successfully implemented a number of events for high-profile clients as well.  At HA, she brings with her vast knowledge of fundraising, team retention and non-profit experience to help individuals and families living with hydrocephalus.

In her spare time, Mona enjoys spending time with her family as well as tracking family genealogy generations to come!
