A Magical Night of Impact

[Anaheim, CA, November 10, 2023]  Join us in celebrating four decades of unwavering commitment, community support, and transformative impact at the Hydrocephalus Association’s 40th Anniversary Gala. The evening will include a captivating performance by the extraordinarily talented Justin Willman, the creative force behind the acclaimed Netflix sensation, Magic For Humans.

This philanthropic event will help to raise awareness and critical funding for hydrocephalus research to improve the lives of those living with the condition and to eventually find a cure.

The only known treatment for hydrocephalus is brain surgery. The most common surgical treatment for hydrocephalus is shunting the excess cerebrospinal fluid from the brain, which has one of the highest failure rates of any medical device on the market. There are approximately 10,000 pediatric hospital admissions for shunt malfunctions each year. Hydrocephalus and a shunt can mean a lifetime of multiple brain surgeries. Dozens of brain surgeries are common and 100 or more is not unheard of.

The top priority of the hydrocephalus community of patients, scientists, and physicians is to find non-invasive treatments for hydrocephalus. Treatments that do not require shunting.
