Sierra Smith

Sierra has been a Hydrocephalus Association community network leader for the eastern Pennsylvania region since 2014 before becoming the Support & Education Assistant in 2022. As the Support & Education Assistant, Sierra provides support for daily operations and helps to advance the goals of the organization through the development of educational and support programs.

Sierra was diagnosed with congenital hydrocephalus and had a shunt placed at 24 hours old. To date, Sierra has had 20 brain surgeries related to her hydrocephalus.

Sierra received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Alabama in 2020. In her spare time, Sierra enjoys spending time with her dogs, going to concerts, reading, and sewing.
