Full-time, Remote Position (U.S.)

The Hydrocephalus Association (HA) is seeking a National Director of Research who will lead a fast paced, broad spectrum research department, and emerging research program focused on the various etiologies and diverse needs related to hydrocephalus care and treatment. HA’s research program spans basic, translational and clinical research, and our strategy has resulted in significant results with $13M invested in the program since its founding in 2009, and funded scientists and clinical networks going on to secure federal grants resulting in a return on investment of more than $50M. The National Director of Research will collaborate with a range of stakeholders to execute a research strategy driving the program to fulfill HA’s strategic vision and goals. The National Director of Research reports to the President and CEO.

Full-time, Remote Position (U.S.)

The Hydrocephalus Association (HA) is seeking a National Director of Marketing and Communications to lead a fast paced and evolving Marketing and Communications Department driving forward time sensitive messaging distributed across all communication channels to highlight HA’s mission programs and events, increase awareness of hydrocephalus to diverse audiences, create compelling messaging to drive donors to support our mission and grow our overall constituent database.

One million Americans live with hydrocephalus and anyone may acquire the condition at any time. In the U.S. 1 out of 770 babies develop hydrocephalus each year and a recent study estimates 700,000 older Americans may be living with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). There is no cure for the condition and the only current treatment is brain surgery. Fortunately, HA’s research efforts have resulted in significant results with $13M invested in the program since its founding in 2009 with funded scientists and clinical networks going on to secure federal grants resulting in a return on investment of more than $50M.

The National Director will execute a marketing and communications strategy driving the program closer to fulfilling its mission and strategic vision. The National Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the President and CEO.
