FREE Hydrocephalus Education Day: Columbia, SC

The Hydrocephalus Association (HA), in partnership with Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, is proud to host a free morning designed to deliver education, support and networking opportunities for individuals living with hydrocephalus and their families located in the Columbia, SC metropolitan area.
Childcare is provided for children 11 and younger who are potty trained.
Learn:
Dr. Catherine McClung-Smith will provide a general overview of hydrocephalus, treatment methods and ongoing management of care followed by a questions and answers session.
An education specialist from the Richland County School District 2 will provide an overview of IEPs and 504 plans in school and provide tips on how to advocate for your child.

Parents, teens, and adults will share their own unique perspectives on growing up with hydrocephalus on our intergenerational panel.

Meet individuals like yourself living with or caring for someone with a neurological condition, and gain valuable tips, tools and knowledge from their personal experiences.
