About the speakers:

Joe Franco
Joe is a nationally recognized leader in grasroots advocacy, currently serving as the Vice President of Grassroots at LeadingAge, a nationwide leader in advocating for aging services for America’s older adults. He is also an adjunct professore at The Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University.

 

Elana Schwartz
Elana currently serves as a Special Assistant for the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, a position she was appointed to by the New York Governor’s office. Prior to her current position, she worked for many years for Congressional officials in Washington, DC, and in New York district offices. Elana was born prematurely and diagnosed at 3 weeks of age with communicating congenital hydrocephalus and has had a VP shunt for most of her life.
