URGENT: Contact your Member of Congress

Tags: ,

We need your help getting members of Congress and their staff to a Congressional Hydrocephalus Caucus briefing on October 17th. Please take a moment to call & e-mail their offices to ask them to attend. You can learn more about the briefing by clicking here.

This shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes and is very easy! Just review this short video to help guide you through or follow the below steps.

Steps to contact your Congressperson:

  1. Go to https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative to find the Congressperson who represents you. Note that you may have to type in your full address to get to the right member of Congress.
  2. Connect to their website and look for their DC phone number under contact information.
  3. Call the office and ask for the legislative assistant who handles health care issues. If the person answering the phone asks who’s calling, say something like:

“My name is [your name]. I live in the district and I’m calling on behalf of the Hydrocephalus Association. We’d like to invite the health LA to a briefing. May I also have his/her e-mail address?”

Be sure to get the e-mail address so you can forward the briefing invitation found here: INVITATION, with a short note like:

I’m a constituent writing to bring this Congressional Hydrocephalus Caucus briefing to your attention. Please let me know if you’re able to attend. It’s important to the hydrocephalus community in your district. Thank you.

If you’re transferred to voice mail, you can leave the following message:
