This study, “Activated Gene Pathways in Postinfectious Hydrocephalus: Proteogenomics and the PIH Expressome,” will help us understand how the brain responds to an infection using a complex proteomics approach. Understanding how the brain responds to an infection will help identify the causal pathways leading to the development of PIH and new avenues for targeted drug treatment trials. This study will use CSF samples from infants in Sub-Saharan Africa.
