Utilizing Neurosurgical Specimens to Study Intraventricular Hemorrhage and the Feasibility of Targeted Gene Therapy.

Dr. Cameron Sadegh is a Neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at UC Davis. His study entitled “Utilizing neurosurgical specimens to study intraventricular hemorrhage and the feasibility of targeted gene therapy” aims to develop a novel experimental platform utilizing discarded surgical specimens to evaluate known molecular targets in post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus and identify new targets. Dr. Sadegh will also test the ability of current gene therapy tools to target human tissue for clinical translation.
