Neuropsychological Phenotypes of Idiopathic Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.
Dr. Jeffrey Schaffert is a neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor in Psychology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His study aims to uncover distinct cognitive profiles in iNPH patients and investigate how these profiles relate to treatment outcomes after cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) removal trials and shunt surgeries. This research could help improve early diagnosis and guide decisions on which patients are most likely to benefit from shunting.
