New Hydrocephalus Treatment Performed on First Seattle Infant

Dr. Samuel Browd, a pediatric neurosurgeon and Director of Hydrocephalus at Seattle Children’s, led the team that performed a relatively new procedure known as Choroid Plexus Cauterization on an infant at Seattle Children’s. This is the first time the procedure was performed at Seattle Children’s. The cauterization is performed during a surgery called Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy or ETV.
