Martin County Student with Hydrocephalus Gets One Step Closer to His Swimming Goals

For 19-year-old Tomas Rodriguez, swimming is second nature. You might say that’s fitting or fate considering he was born with a medical condition that essentially translates to “water on the brain.” This week, he will head to Cincinnati to compete in a paralympic swim meet for a chance to win a national ranking and hopefully from there an international ranking.

    My prayers and best wishes to you in your quest to win national ranking in Swimming. My son, 47,has hydrocephalus, has done well, works for our veterinarians. He has had only 4 revisions, the last at age 16, 31 years ago! Good luck with your hydrocephalus, too.
