FDA Clears MRI-Compatible Shunt System by Medtronic

The Food and Drug Administration cleared the StrataMR™ valve and shunt system for use in the United States. Medtronic’s newest addition to its line of Strata Adjustable Valve Systems, the StrataMR™ is designed to resist setting changes in an MRI up to 3.0 Tesla. The StrataMR™ system will be available to physicians and doctors in the coming months.
