Now that election season is over and Congress is back in session, it is time to take action. For the last two years, Congress has been developing legislation, called the 21st Century Cures Act (Cures) that could change the lives of many patients. The Cures ACT is an important bill for our hydrocephalus community to follow because it will provide funding for more medical research on conditions like hydrocephalus as well as create a national neurological surveillance system.
The healthcare community is facing a crucial historical moment. Congress is running out of time to pass the Cures bill before this legislative session ends. Congress must pass the Cures Act this year to save the lives of millions of patients across the country. We cannot abandon patients, their families, and loved ones in their time of need.
Help us take action!
