Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Hydrocephalus Association

Honoring our Legacy and Shaping the Future

The year 2023 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Hydrocephalus Association (HA). Throughout the year, we will honor our legacy with all of our community by celebrating our milestones and exploring what has been accomplished over the past four decades.

The Hydrocephalus Association began as a parent support group with an initial gathering in 1983 in San Francisco, CA. Now, HA has a national presence as the leading provider of educational resources, support and advocacy for our community. HA is the largest non-profit, non-governmental funder of hydrocephalus research in the U.S. We have significantly impacted the healthcare and scientific communities as well as the lives of individuals impacted by the condition. The rich history of our association is what drives our core values and mission today.

Stay tuned on our blog, social media and in our emails for more exciting events surrounding our 40th anniversary and ways that you can join us in celebrating!
