Craig Brown is the President and Co-owner of the Greenville Drive Baseball Team. As President, Mr. Brown focuses on the activities that result in the Drive being part of the fabric of the Community. Brown also led the construction of Fluor Field, the team’s award winning stadium in the West End of downtown Greenville which was named National Ballpark of the Year upon its debut in 2006. Fluor Field and the Greenville Drive have proven to be catalysts for Community engagement and economic growth and development in the region.
Previously Brown spent 23 years as a senior executive in the advertising industry, most recently as President and COO of the Bcom3 Group. Over the course of his advertising career Brown was a principal executive in the industry’s three most defining mergers, including the 2002 merger of Bcom3 and Publicis Groupe.
In addition to serving as the Vice Chair of the HA Board, Brown serves on the Board of Directors of The Partnership at Drugfree.org, where he is Board Treasurer, and is a founding Board member of MiLB Enterprises which oversees brand marketing for Minor League Baseball.
Brown is an active alumnus of Michigan State where he is a member of the Athletic Director’s Council, Chairman of Spartan Innovations—an organization devoted to the commercialization of the University’s Intellectual Property—and is the past Chairman and current Board member of the MSU Research Foundation.
Brown is a very involved member of HA’s Executive Committee and has served as Board Treasurer. Brown and his wife, Vicki, hosted the First Annual Vision Dinner in October, 2013. This event helped to raise awareness of hydrocephalus in the New York City metropolitan area. The Browns will host the Second Annual Vision Dinner in October, 2014.
