The Hollywood Reporter reports on Donald Bellisario’s current court case suing CBS for revenue owed to him when he was denied the opportunity to work on NCIS: Los Angeles as outlined in his contract. CBS is requesting his medical records around his recent treatment for hydrocephalus to determine if he was able to do the work due to his medical condition.

I am very sorry to hear that Mr. Donald Bellisario is having to go through discrimination such as this, but, all of us, who have had high paying jobs that were taken in by hydrocephalus, knows first hand the tormented hell that employers have put us through.
I think if the Hydrocephalus Association wants to do anything, they should support this man through his struggles with this employer to show that you really do stand behind those affected by this disease. Otherwise, I just believe it is a political organization to get money for the medical community. This man is suffering in his own right.
I think this organization should support this man by showing and making a precedent to the Courts, that those with Hydrocephalus is not going to put up with the Courts making us into people that do not know what they are talking about. While our doctors and hospitals are the only ones that benefit, when we get sick.
I had over $100,000 in medical costs in 1995, for six shunt operations in one month. Did anybody come to my rescue? Hell no. I think this needs to change. If we are suppose to support the medical community to get money for their research, I think they should be able to help support us in keeping our jobs so we continue paying them there high charges for these operations.
What I would like to see, is everybody with hydrocephalus showing up to support this man in Court. I would like to see the Judge look at all of us. And for him to know that the decision he makes in the Court Case will be precedent for all those who have had high paying jobs and now have been diagnosed with one form or another of hydrocephalus. It is harder to deny the situation, when it is standing right before your eyes. I think we should all go to his Court Case and look the Judge and the Employer in their eyes.
