Dr. David Sandberg
Director, Pediatric Neurosurgery
Mischer Neuroscience Institute
Dr. Sandberg is the physician chair for the Hydrocephalus Support Group. He recently moved to Houston from Miami Children’s Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he was a voluntary associate professor of clinical neurological surgery and pediatrics. At the UTHealth Medical School, he holds joint appointments as an associate professor in the departments of Neurosurgery and Pediatric Surgery. His major clinical interests include pediatric brain tumors, minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to brain tumors and hydrocephalus, congenital spinal anomalies, vascular malformations, spasticity, and craniofacial disorders in children.
