You can visit the Hydrocephalus Association (HA) website without giving us any personal information. HA does not collect any personally identifiable information unless it is given to us. We do not gather information about our website visitors as individuals; we collect non-personally-identifiable information such as browser type, referring site, date of visit, and other information to help us better understand how HA's visitors use the HA website. Occasionally, HA may release non-personal aggregate information in reporting usage trends. In addition, HA collects potentially personally identifiable information such as IP addresses. However, HA does not use such information to identify its visitors, and does not disclose such information other than the aggregate trend reporting described above.

Any personal information that you enter through our website is either received in the HA offices or at a secure site in the case of donation processing (described below). We use your contact information to process your request.  Thereafter, we may use your contact information to send updates about hydrocephalus research and association activities, donation information and events that may be of interest to you.  If at any time you choose not to receive these mailings, please contact us at (888) 598-3789.  Instructions for stopping e-mail notices are included within our email messages as well.

We do not rent or sell your personal information.  This includes, but is not limited to, mailing addresses, telephone or fax numbers and email addresses.  Your contact information is stored by HA and protected from unauthorized use.

Secure Donation Processing

HA uses secure donation processing which means that steps have been taken to stop others from viewing information in transit over the internet.  If you turn on your browser's security features, you will be able to tell which forms are secure at any web site.  For example, you may receive a message that you are entering a secure area, or you may see a locked-key symbol.  We currently secure the online Membership and Donation forms. 

Not all electronic mail can be protected against interception, and not all the forms or e-mail links from our site are secured.  We suggest you not provide personal information to us through any public-use computer regardless of the security of the form.  The "back" button on a browser can often retrieve completed forms.
