Hydrocephalus Media Resources

The Hydrocephalus Association welcomes interest from the media, as well as families and individuals living with hydrocephalus who are willing to share their stories. Better treatment options and an eventual cure start from wider public awareness. The media can be an effective tool in achieving  this goal.

For the media:

Here’s how we can help you with your story:

  • Find a family in your city willing to talk about how hydrocephalus has affected their life.
  • Match you with a top-ranking physician who can talk about diagnosis and treatment
  • Refer you to a staff member of our Association who can talk about the different manifestations of  hydrocephalus, current treatments and prognosis.

Please contact us at [email protected]

For families and individuals with hydrocephalus:

Here’s how we can work together and increase media coverage:

  1. Call, e-mail or write to us giving brief details about your experience with hydrocephalus. Don’t forget your contact information. This will be kept on file in strict confidence.
  2. If a suitable press opportunity emerges, we will write a press release on your behalf. The press release will not be sent without your authorization.
  3. Media interested in pursuing the story will contact you either directly or via the Association.

Please contact us at [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you!
